Tropical depression Inday intensifies into a typhoon. It has an international name of Fanapi. According to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), typhoon Inday was spotted 640 kilometers east northeast of Basco, Batanes and it is moving north northwest at 7 kilometers per hour. Typhoon Inday has a maximum winds of of 120 kph and gustiness of up to 150 kph. PAGASA reported that Northern and Central Luzon, Eastern Visayas and Western Mindanao will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Residents in low-lying and affected areas have been warned and advised to be alert against possible recurrence of floods. For those who are living near mountain ranges or slopes were advised to take precautionary measures against landslides. PAGASA has not raised any storm signals.
