    Typhoon ‘Quedan’ enters RP

Typhoon Quedan has an international code name of Melor. It is expected to pull typhoon Pepeng back to Northern Luzon. It is what government meteorologists called the “Fujiwara effect.” Pepeng could possible hit Ilocos Norte and the rest of the Batanes group of islands and will surely follow the direction of typhoon Quedan which has been moving towards Japan. Typhoon Quedan has a maximum sustained winds of 195 kph and it has been spotted 600 kilometer from the eastern side of the country. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) considered Quedan as a supertyphoon. Stormy weather is still to be noticed in Northern Luzon. The PAGASA declared Public Storm Signal number 3 in Ilocos Norte. Under Storm Signal number 2 is placed in Ilocos Sur, Abra, Apayao, Northern Cagayan, including Calayan and Babuyan Group of Islands and Batanes Group of Islands while La Union, Benguet, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Kalinga, and the rest of Cagayan are under Storm signal number 1. Almost 70,000 people were affected in Ilocos Norte because of heavy rains. Philippines is a strong country. No matter what happens, it can still survive. Like in the Synergy Corporation, even if there is a heavy rain showers and thunderstorm, the operations are still going on.
