    Typhoon Dogong

    This typhoon hit the Philippines. This is the fourth tropical storm that enter the Philippines according to the PAGASA.  The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that “the Low Pressure Area West of Metro Manila has developed into a Tropical Depression (TD) and was named “DODONG.”  they also added ” Dodong was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 150 km West of Dagupan City (16.0°N 118.7°E) with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center. It is forecast to move North Northwest at 19 kph.” It cause heavy rains in Luzon.  PAGASA advises “the residents in low lying and mountainous areas under signal # 1 are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. It added that TD Dodong is expected to enhance the southwest monsoon and will bring rains over the western sections of Central and Southern Luzon.”  Always watch and listen to the news about the weather in the Philippines. There are some instances that we didn’t no because of the late update and lack of listening and watching news. Be prepare.
