    Philippines sees outsourcing boom

     

    Philippines is one of the hottest destination when you speak in outsourcing. The Philippines outsourcing industry will grow strongly over the next five yearseven though, global economic concerns and threats to its call center sector. Business Processing Association of the Philippines chief Alfred Ayala said that the industry was is expecting to continue its rise from nothing ten years to presently the world’s number two player behind India with 600, 000 workers.

    Ayala told the reporter that outsourcing may slow down, however it is still going to be double-digit growth. The industry expects outsourcing revenues to grow at least 15 percent each year to $20 billion by 2016. IT would employ 900,000 workers.

    The Philippines, accounted for 6-7 percent of the global market for all outsourcing business services. India is secon only in their 51% share. From call centers to accounting, health care, legal work and information Technology, the business outsourcing covers a wide range olf services.

    Last year, the Philippines in the call sector center alone overtook India to have the world’s biggest industry in terms of the revenues and workers, iwidely on the back of catering to the United States and other English speaking countries.

    In the conference, the foreign experts said that it would eventually decline with computer software replacing humans in such things as attending to customer complains ove the merchandise. The senior executive director for the business processing association, Gillan Joyce Virata said that the call centers still accounted for about 65 percent of the overall outsourcing business in the Philippines. The trend will continue for non-voice to grow at a faster rate.

    The outsourcing sector now is one of the Philippines gross domestic product. The outsourcing helps the economy growth. It helps to find solution in every problem that the business or company faces. IT has a big impact in the industry wherein most of the people now in the world outsource inside and outside the company and country.
